A Prayer for Hard Times

Father, I come to you worn and weary from the hard times I have walked through recently. I come to you seeking your shelter where I know I can find security and rest in your shadow.

Father, you are mighty. I know my circumstances are no match for Your great power. Thank You that You are my safe place.

Thank You that I am always welcome beneath Your wings. Thank You for being a fortress I can trust.

Father, I know you can save me from these trials. I will wait patiently for You to help me work things out for my good. You have always been faithful to me. I will rest in Your faithfulness.

A Prayer for Hard Times

Lord God, You knew that this life would be difficult for us. If we are to follow You, we must pick up our cross and carry it. Nobody is a friend to the person carrying the cross. It will often be a lonely road. There will be numerous tribulations and difficult times. Though we do not know the whole story, we know that it ends with Your victory. May You help us always to rejoice in this, and take comfort in knowing that You have the final word.

A Prayer for Hard Times in Life

O merciful Lord, I’m facing a tough time. I don’t want to lose hope, but it hurts. I’m broken.

Do you see me Lord?

Right now, things look so dark. So I cry out to you. I seek the impossible peace.

Let me let go, O Lord, all my fears and suffering into your hands. Help me to trust in your will despite the trials and hurt. Cast out the enemy, O Lord. Strike down his influence and lies. My Lord Jesus bled and died for me. May this truth penetrate my heart to heal me and set me free. Grant me the grace of Christ that shines bright in the night, the morning Star rising in new life and glory.

I am yours, O Lord, now, in the struggle, and forever in your glory.
